SAFEGUARDING COMMITMENT STATEMENT
Office for Safeguarding Services - Blue Card News 2023:
As of March 2023, over 925,000 blue and exemption card holders and applicants are being monitored on a daily basis by the Queensland Police Service. This means that if there is a change to a person's police information (e.g. a person is charged with a relevant offence) Blue Card Services are notified and can take appropriate action. This usually means notifying the organisation/s to which the person’s Blue Card is linked. A notification from Blue Card Services allows the organisation to conduct a risk assessment and take appropriate risk management action.
