Marriage

Marriage, in its Christian meaning, is properly understood as a vocation, a calling by God to enter into a way of love by which two people wholly commit themselves to each other.

This love in turn opens itself out to the gift of children and the formation of the family.

The rite of marriage has two forms: The rite of Marriage during Mass (sometimes referred to as a Nuptial Mass) and the Rite of Marriage outside Mass. Couples inquiring about a Wedding at Star of the Sea Parish should contact the Parish Office to make an appointment
with the Parish Priest.
